A sandy beach in Pescara, Abruzzo, composed of over 99% sand with medium grain size. The beach is over 80 metres wide with no dune formations. The surrounding area contains urban settlements and several beach establishments, some equipped with swimming pools.

Facilities

Lifeguard and first aid services, disabled access facilities, sanitary services, food and beverage outlets, sports structures. Multiple beach establishments present, some with swimming pools. Animals are prohibited by regional regulation.

Water Quality

Water quality classification: SUFFICIENT. No treated wastewater discharges or storm overflow outlets are present in the Pescara municipality waterfront. Potential pollution sources include the Pescara River, Fosso Vallelunga, and Fosso Pretaro. No specific monitoring measures are currently active.

Risks

Marine waters in the Abruzzo area have not presented cyanobacteria blooms. Sparse phytoplankton blooms occur in summer; some dinoflagellate blooms were recorded in previous years with scarce or absent toxic species. No anomalous events have been recorded.
