This bathing area is located 100 metres south of the Tourist Port Pier in Pescara. The beach is sandy with over 99% sand content and medium granulometry (D50 = 0.200 mm), with no dune ridges present. The beach width varies from a maximum of 85 metres to a minimum of 50 metres at the groyne locations. The surrounding area is occupied by urban settlements, with various beach establishments present on the shoreline, some equipped with swimming pools.

Water Quality

Water quality classification: EXCELLENT. The sewer system is of mixed type with wastewater conveyed to the Raiale wastewater treatment plant managed by A.C.A. No treated wastewater discharges or storm overflow outlets are present along the municipality's coastline. Marine waters in the Abruzzese area have not shown cyanobacterial blooms. Past events recorded sparse dinoflagellate blooms with scarce or absent toxic species presence.
