A rocky coastal bathing area located in the Ugento-Limite sud area near Porto Cesareo. The water body is classified as excellent based on water quality assessments from 2017–2020. No discharge points from wastewater treatment plants or watercourse outlets are present in the area.

Coastal marine water body. Area extends 4.636 square kilometres. The hydrographic basin is Canale Asso-Raschione.

Location

Nardò, Province of Lecce, Puglia region. Located 1000 meters north of Torre Uluzzo.

Water Quality

Water quality classification: Excellent (2017–2020). No direct discharge of wastewater into the sea. No watercourse or channel outlets that could convey pollutants into the bathing area. No short-duration pollution events recorded in the past four years.

Risks

No cyanobacteria or algae blooms detected. No proliferation of potentially toxic algal strains recorded. No anomalous situations verified.
