Potential pollution source: Foce della Fiumara Ruffa. Short-duration pollution events may occur due to accidental depuratore failures or overflow from Depuratore di Ricadi San Nicolò. Cyanobacterial proliferation has not been recorded in the last four years. Macroalgae, phytoplankton, and potentially toxic species proliferation has not been recorded in the last four years.
