This is a sandy-pebbly beach located in the Piana di Conoide area near the Simeri River in Calabria. The seabed slopes gently at an average of 2.1% from the waterline to the 5-meter isobath. Sediment grain size on the underwater beach ranges from 0.13 to 2 millimeters. The water is classified as excellent quality. The beach is situated in an agricultural area between the Uria Stream and the Simeri River.

Location

Simeri Crichi municipality, Catanzaro province, Calabria region. The bathing area is located 200 meters north of the Simeri River. Access to the beach is provided by boardwalks.

Facilities

Boardwalk access to the beach is available. Animals are permitted in the area.

Water Quality

Water quality classification is excellent. The area faces potential pollution from agricultural runoff in the surrounding lands. No specific mitigation measures are currently active.

Risks

Short-duration pollution events characterized by runoff from agricultural areas have been identified as a potential risk. Cyanobacterial and macroalgal proliferation events have not occurred in the past four years.
