This bathing water is located 200 metres south of the Soverato Stream in the Soverato municipality of Calabria. It is a sandy beach situated along a narrow coastal strip between agricultural territories and the urban centre of Soverato. The seafloor has a gentle slope of 2% from the waterline to the 5-metre depth contour, with sediment grain sizes ranging from 0.13 to 2 millimetres.

Water Quality

Water quality classification: Excellent. The San Sostene–Stalettì water body shows excellent quality. No specific active measures are currently in place for wastewater treatment in the area.

Risks

Short-duration pollution events have been identified from agricultural runoff in the area. No cyanobacterial proliferation events have been recorded in the last four years. No macroalgae, phytoplankton, or potentially toxic species proliferation has been recorded in the last four years.
