A sandy beach with gravel deposits from the Vibrata Stream, located 250 meters south of the stream's mouth near Alba Adriatica. The beach is approximately 11 to 55 meters wide depending on location and hosts around 1,500 daily swimmers. The area includes a municipal children's play area, four beach concessions, and two free beach sections. A cycling and pedestrian path runs along the seafront to the west.

Water

Coastal waters of the Vibrata River system. The bathing area extends 0.300 kilometers along the coast. The water body is classified as Coastal Waters - Flat Plain - Medium Stability (C2).

Location

Alba Adriatica, Teramo Province, Abruzzo region. The beach is located 250 meters south of the Vibrata Stream mouth. Parking and facilities are available near the municipal children's play area and beach concessions.

Facilities

Two free beach sections, four beach concessions, two hospitality facility concessions. The seafront includes a cycling and pedestrian path.

Water Quality

Water quality classification: EXCELLENT. The depurator (treatment plant) serving Alba Adriatica is a consortium facility shared with Martinsicuro, with a capacity of 92,000 inhabitant equivalents. The plant operates three purification lines including biodisk and activated sludge treatment with final disinfection. All discharge values comply with Italian Legislative Decree 152/06 Table 3. The Vibrata Stream mouth remains under continuous environmental monitoring as a potential concern.

Risks

The Vibrata Stream mouth is identified as a potential pollution source and environmental concern requiring continuous monitoring. Storm water discharge pipes to sea are present. No cyanobacterial blooms have been recorded in recent marine waters. Occasional summer algal blooms of dinoflagellates have occurred in past years with scarce or absent toxic species.
