The area features typical Mediterranean vegetation and low-lying terrain sloping towards the beach. The beach is classified as having excellent water quality based on historical analysis of contamination parameters over four years.

Water quality classification: Excellent. Quality determination based on analysis of historical data from at least four years of contamination parameter concentrations. Wastewater treatment installations do not conform to standards required by Directive 91/271/EC.

Risks

Treated wastewater discharge. Short-duration pollution events identified: accidental treatment plant failure, overflow, and urban runoff from surrounding areas. These events are characterised as temporary malfunctions. No cyanobacteria proliferation potential identified. No macroalgae, phytoplankton, or potentially toxic species proliferation identified in the past four years.
