Caorle spiaggia ponente is a bathing water located on the Adriatic coast in the Veneto region, situated between the Nicesolo canal to the northeast and the Livenza river mouth to the southwest. The beach is 50 to 100 metres wide. The area behind the beach is developed with heterogeneous tourist structures. The coastline is oriented along the northeast-southwest direction.

Location

Caorle, Venice Province, Veneto region, Italy. The bathing water is located 50 metres north of the beginning of the left dam at the mouth of the Livenza river. The competent authority is the Municipality of Caorle, Guardia Costiera (tel. 1530), and ARPAV (mail: oaa@arpa.veneto.it).

Classification: Excellent (2021-2024). EI95° 28.744; EI90° 23.539; EC95° 63.272; EC90° 47.311.

Risks

Potential pollution sources identified: Livenza river mouth, Nicesolo canal, and Lemene river. The Caorle-Palangon wastewater treatment plant (design capacity: 120,000 population equivalents) is located 5.8 km from the sea outlet.
