Location

Cervia, in the province of Ravenna, Emilia-Romagna region. The bathing area is situated 50 metres south of Porto Marina di Cervia. Beach width is 160 metres.

Facilities

One bathing establishment with first aid services, toilets accessible to disabled persons, hot showers, accessible facilities without architectural barriers, sports structures, and food outlets.

Water Quality

Water quality is classified as Good (reference years 2021–2024). Escherichia coli at 90th percentile: 146 CFU/100 ml; at 95th percentile: 258 CFU/100 ml. Intestinal enterococci at 90th percentile: 12 CFU/100 ml; at 95th percentile: 13 CFU/100 ml. No direct pollution sources from point discharges or watercourses exist within the bathing water profile.

Risks

The Cervia Canal Port entrance to the north can generate eutrophication phenomena. During intense rainfall events, discharges from Cervia Canal Port can occur and reach the sea near the bathing water. The port entrance involves sediment movement by propeller to ensure vessel access. No phytoplankton blooms (Raphidophyceae Fibrocapsa japonica) or macroalgae blooms were recorded during 2019–2022.
