A sandy beach located at the left bank of the Candelaro stream mouth near Manfredonia in the Puglia region. The bathing water is classified as excellent based on monitoring data from 2017–2020. The area covers approximately 0.761 square kilometres along the Adriatic coast.

Location

Manfredonia, Foggia Province, Puglia Region, Italy. The bathing area is situated at the southern limit of the Candelaro stream mouth.

Water Quality

Water quality classification: Excellent (2017–2020). No direct wastewater discharges to sea are present. No algal blooms or cyanobacterial proliferation have been detected. No toxic algal species have been recorded in the past four years.

Risks

The Candelaro stream mouth at the southern boundary is identified as a potential pollution source. During heavy rainfall, increased stream discharge could transport wastewater to the sea from treatment plants serving Manfredonia and Rignano Garganico.
