Coastal waters in the Cirò-Cariati water body. Beach composition: sandy and pebbly sediments with granulometry ranging from 0.13 to 2 millimetres. Average seabed gradient from the shoreline to the 5-metre isobath is 1.4%.

Risks

Potential pollution source identified at the mouth of Torrente Giardino. Short-duration pollution events recorded, including accidental sewage treatment plant failures and overflow from the Crucoli depuration facility. No anomalous situations, cyanobacteria proliferation, or macroalgae proliferation events recorded in the previous four years.
