Coastal water body (Cirò-Cariati). Sandy-pebbly beach with average seabed slope of 1.4% from shore to 5-meter depth. Sediment granulometry ranges from 0.13 to 2 mm. Bathing area extends 1.062 square kilometres.

Located in the municipality of Crucoli, province of Crotone, Calabria, in the area facing the Crucoli town centre.

Showers available. Accessible walkways for disabled persons.

Water Quality

Water quality classification: Excellent. No specific active mitigation measures are currently in place. The Lamanna stream estuary has been identified as a pollution source.

Risks

Short-duration pollution events from urban runoff have been identified in the area. Cyanobacterial and macroalgal proliferation have not been documented in the past four years.
