Allermöher See is a deep, stratified quarry lake in southeast Hamburg created through gravel and clay extraction in 1984 and 1990. The lake has a surface area of approximately 89,000 square metres with a maximum depth of 11 metres. Located in the Vier- and Marschlanden district between the residential areas of Neuallermöhe-West and Neuallermöhe-Ost, the lake is fed exclusively by groundwater and rainwater with no connection to other water systems. It is the subject of an official bathing water profile under the Hamburg Bathing Water Ordinance.
