Axamobadet

Sweden Lake 1 - Excellent

Axamobadet is located on Axamosjön, a small oligotrophic clear-water lake west of Jönköping. The bathing area is family-friendly with large grass areas adjoining a sandy beach approximately 200 metres long. Two wooden piers extend into the water. Changing rooms and toilets are available, and the site borders a recreational area.

Water

Axamosjön is an oligotrophic clear-water lake with a surface area of 0.26 km² and a maximum depth of 13 metres. The lake has no outlet and drains via groundwater to Lillån and Dunkehallaån. Shores are predominantly sandy with sparse reedbed and abundant short-shoot plants. The surrounding landscape consists mainly of pine forest with areas of cultivated land, particularly to the northwest.

Location

Approximately 5 kilometres west of Jönköping, at an elevation of 220 metres above sea level. Changing rooms and toilets are available on-site.
