Badesee Quendorf is a well-established former gravel pit covering approximately 8 hectares with a sandy beach. The municipal authority has developed it into an attractive family bathing destination by adding recreational facilities including a beach volleyball field, children's playground, and small kiosk. The lake is situated in a landscape of fields, meadows, and hedgerows, and receives fresh water through groundwater inflow.
