Badesee Astederfeld is a former gravel pit lake located at the southwestern edge of Zetel municipality. The lake reaches a maximum depth of approximately 17 meters. From a microbiological perspective, water quality has consistently been unremarkable, and the water has been classified as excellent. No bathing bans have ever been issued.
