Silbersee is an artificial lake formed from a clay pit located north of Celle in the district of Vorwerk, approximately 4.1 km from the city centre. The lake has a water surface of approximately 26,400 m² and is fed by underground springs. The bathing areas consist of grass and sand with a total length of about 250 m, and existing trees provide shaded spots.
