The Irenensee is the largest of the Spreewaldian lakes, surrounded by a landscape and nature conservation area called Schilfbruch. Located between Burgdorf and Uetze within a campground facility, it offers extensive recreational opportunities including swimming, sailing, pedal boating, and beach volleyball. A playground features a zip line over the water, and fishing is available on the eastern shore.
