Duino-Aurisina municipality, Trieste Province, Friuli Venezia Giulia region. Coordinates: 45.749860°N, 13.653035°E. The bathing area extends approximately 1.769 km.

Water Quality

Classification: Excellent (reference years 2015–2018). Escherichia coli 90th percentile: 10 CFU/100 ml; 95th percentile: 10 CFU/100 ml. Intestinal enterococci 90th percentile: 14 CFU/100 ml; 95th percentile: 22 CFU/100 ml. No quality state variations observed for bathing seasons 2015–2018. No short-duration pollution events recorded in 2015, 2016, 2017, or 2018. Potential long-distance impact from Sistiana wastewater treatment plant with submarine outfall.

Risks

Ostreopsis cf. ovata (marine microphytobentos) monitoring conducted; threshold blooms not exceeded in water column during reference period. No cyanobacterial eutrophic phenomena have been reported. No human health problems recorded.
