Located in Duino-Aurisina municipality, Trieste province, Friuli Venezia Giulia region. Coordinates: 45.757813°N, 13.640372°E. The bathing area extends 1.374 km.

Water Quality

Water quality classification: Excellent (reference years 2015-2018). Escherichia Coli at 90th percentile: 10 CFU/100ml, at 95th percentile: 10 CFU/100ml. Intestinal Enterococci at 90th percentile: 14 CFU/100ml, at 95th percentile: 22 CFU/100ml. No cyanobacterial eutrophic phenomena have been reported. No cases of potentially toxic algal strain proliferation have been detected. The Sistiana wastewater treatment plant discharges via an underwater outfall, representing a potential long-distance impact.

Risks

No short-duration pollution events were recorded in 2015, 2016, 2017, or 2018. No cyanobacterial proliferation events occurred in the previous four years. No elevated concentrations of potentially toxic species were detected.
