Baia Felice is a sandy beach located in Cellole, Caserta province, in the Campania region. The area is characterized by sandy shoreline with man-made structures and canal outlets along the beach. Intense urbanization runs parallel to the coast. The bathing water has been classified as Excellent for the years 2020–2023.

Location

Cellole, Caserta province, Campania region. The beach is served by the municipality of Cellole.

Water Quality

Water quality classification: Excellent (years 2020–2021–2022–2023). The bathing water is affected by discharges from Rio Trimoletto and Canale D'Auria. Rio Trimoletto receives irrigation water only. Canale D'Auria receives untreated urban wastewater from Sessa Aurunca municipality and some industrial discharges with treatment. Rio S. Limato receives stormwater from the tourist village 'Le Perle'. Sewage from Baia Felice locality is conveyed via lifting station to the treatment plant in Doccia, Cellole, with discharge into a tributary of the Garigliano River.

Risks

Canal outlets (Rio Trimoletto and Canale D'Auria/San Limato) with untreated wastewater discharges from multiple municipalities and industrial sources.
