Blankenburger See is an inland lake in the eastern area of Oldenburg, located beyond the dense urban development. The lake is named after the small locality and Oldenburg district of Kloster Blankenburg, situated immediately northeast of its shore. The Hunte river flows 500 metres north of the lake.
