Woldsee is an inland lake created in the early 1970s from sand extraction for the construction of the A28 highway between Bad Zwischenahn and Oldenburg. The lake features steep banks and water depths reaching up to 14 metres. A designated non-swimmer area is separated from the swimmer area and the rest of the lake by buoy chains. A designated nudist bathing area is also available. Access is free of charge.
