Water Quality

Classification is pending. Short-duration pollution events have been identified, characterized by intense meteorological events, accidental discharges, and malfunctioning storm overflow systems or treatment systems. Since 2010, an annual surveillance and monitoring plan for cyanobacteria has been in place, with concentrations consistently below the threshold values indicated in Annex B, point 3 of Decree 30.03.2010. No toxic effects on swimmers or the aquatic environment have been documented.
