Water Quality

Water quality classification: Excellent (2015–2018 monitoring period). Escherichia coli: 95th percentile 55 CFU/100 ml, 90th percentile 35 CFU/100 ml. Intestinal enterococci: 95th percentile 20 CFU/100 ml, 90th percentile 14 CFU/100 ml. No anomalous events have occurred. Cyanobacteria concentrations have always remained below the threshold values specified in decree DM 30.03.2010. No toxic effects on swimmers or the aquatic environment have been detected.

Risks

Short-duration pollution events may be caused by intense meteorological events, accidental discharges, and malfunctioning overflow or sewage treatment systems. Cyanobacteria surveillance and monitoring program is in place.
