Borik is a cultivated beach in Zadar, Croatia, with a total length of 1000 metres and an average width of 15 metres. The beach features a concrete structure as its primary surface with sandy areas, backed by low and high vegetation. The seafloor has a mild underwater slope of less than 15 degrees, and the beach is situated along a waveline coast without coastal slope.

Adriatic Sea coastal water. Average sea temperature during the season is 23.51°C. Salinity ranges from a minimum of 26.7 to a maximum of 38.8 during the season. Tide amplitude is 31.1 centimetres. Prevailing wind direction is North-East.

Location

Located in Zadar, Croatia. Beach access is via asphalt road. Paid parking is available. The beach is operated by BORIK d.d. Zadar and functions as a hotel beach.

Facilities

Rescuer service, sanitary facilities, showers, changing rooms, restaurant, café bar, playground, land sports, water sports, benches, parking area, and trash cans. Floating safety lines are installed for beach front protection. Sea buoys are present.

Season

Monitoring occurs year-round with 10 samples collected annually.

Water Quality

Water quality has been assessed annually since 2009 under both Croatian national regulations and EU Directive 2006/7/EC, with 10 samples collected each year. Quality classifications include excellent, good, sufficient, and poor ratings.
