Tidal coastal beach in the English Channel. The area is influenced by tidal currents (flood and ebb tides), wind direction, and wave orientation from the SHOM data. The Provence stream discharges into the coastal area at Ver-sur-Mer.

The ARS also monitors water quality at discharge outlets including the Provence stream and Paisty Vert outlet. Shellfish sanitary classification is maintained for professional foot fishing in the area.
