Water Quality

Water quality classification: elevated. Monitoring classification based on 95th and 90th percentile parameters. One active urban wastewater treatment plant serving over 2000 population equivalents in the reference municipality. No specific monitoring programmes are currently active to measure pollutant concentrations and limit their spread during the bathing season. Shellfish farming identified as an impact source.

Short-duration pollution events under study regarding appropriate modelling approach. Cyanobacterial proliferation potential assessment required. Macroalgae and/or phytoplankton proliferation potential assessment required.
