Castel Volturno, province of Caserta, Campania region. The monitoring point is located at coordinates 40.9148°N, 14.0238°E near the mouth of Lago Patria.

Water Quality

Water quality classification: Excellent (2020–2023 monitoring years). The bathing water receives discharges from the Lago Patria outlet, which collects urban wastewater from the Naples province and contributions from the Vena Canal, including discharge from an intensive fish farming facility equipped with a treatment plant. No wastewater discharge from municipalities in Caserta province was recorded.

Weakly influenced by Lago Patria discharge, which receives urban wastewater from Naples province and contributions from intensive fish farming operations.
