Cavallino-Punta Sabbioni is an equipped beach located on the peninsula separating the Venetian Lagoon to the north and the Adriatic Sea. The beach strip is oriented along the NE-SW direction and is situated approximately 700 metres northeast of the Lido port entrance. The beach width ranges from 50 to 200 metres.

Category C bathing water. Classification: excellent (2021-2024). E. coli 95th percentile: 10 CFU/100 ml; E. coli 90th percentile: 10 CFU/100 ml; Enterococcus 95th percentile: 28.245 CFU/100 ml; Enterococcus 90th percentile: 23.403 CFU/100 ml. Wastewater treatment: Cavallino Treporti treatment plant (design capacity 105,000 population equivalents) with direct sea discharge approximately 4 kilometres from the coast.

Risks

Ostreopsis ovata presence exceeding 10,000 cells/litre was recorded during 2021-2024 monitoring.
