Celle Ovest is a bathing area on the Ligurian coast in Cells Ligure, Savona Province. The shoreline is predominantly rocky to the west and mixed sandy-pebbly to the east. The area is characterized by hillside terrain that slopes steeply toward the sea, with a nearby tourist mooring at Cala Cravieu.

Coastal water body (Mediterranean Sea). Bathing area extension: 1.354 square kilometers. Surrounding watercourses include Rio Lorio and Rio Valle.

Private beach facilities and tourist accommodation structures present in the eastern zone. Animals are permitted access to the area.

Water Quality

Water quality classification: Excellent (2008-2010). No coastal treatment plants, depurators, or Imhoff tanks are present in the area.

Risks

Identified potential pollution sources include river mouths and port activities. Cyanobacteria blooms are not characteristic of the Ligurian Sea due to its predominantly oligotrophic conditions. No cases of potentially toxic algal strain proliferation have been recorded in the past four years.
