K. Stari Đardin is a cultivated pebble beach located in Kaštel Stari within the Kaštela area. The beach measures 170 metres in length and 25 metres in width, featuring an indented coastline with a concrete structure alongside the main pebble surface. The average sea temperature during the season reaches 24.65°C, with salinity ranging from 20.1 to 38.5. High bather density is typical during the swimming season.

Adriatic Sea coast. Beach length 170 metres, width 25 metres. Underwater coastal slope is mild (less than 15 degrees). Tide amplitude is 27.4 centimetres. Average sea temperature during season is 24.65°C. Salinity ranges from minimum 20.1 to maximum 38.5 during the season.

Location

Kaštel Stari, Kaštela. Access is via asphalt road. No parking is available at the beach.

Facilities

Sea buoys, floating safety lines, shower, café bar, benches, trash cans. Boat docking is located away from the beach, more than 100 metres offshore.

Season

Monitoring conducted annually from 2009 onwards with consistent sampling schedules.

Water Quality

Water quality has been monitored annually since 2009 with 10 samples per year. Final assessments have been conducted over four-year rolling periods. Quality classifications under EU Directive 2006/7/EZ include ratings of excellent, good, sufficient, and poor. The most recent assessment period covers 2022–2025.
