Recent monitoring (August 18, 2025) recorded E. coli at 26 CFU/100 ml and Enterococci at 16 CFU/100 ml. Cyanobacterial blooms were identified as a pollution source on multiple dates in July 2025. In 2024, water contamination was associated with a port fire. Historical data shows recurring cyanobacterial bloom closures across multiple years (2016–2024).

Cyanobacterial blooms have been a recurring risk, causing water quality failures on multiple dates in 2019, 2020, 2023, 2024, and 2025. In 2024, water contamination related to a port fire caused temporary closures. In 2018, unidentified white-gray plastic particles were detected. In 2016, elevated Enterococci levels were recorded.
