Erlaufsee is a 58-hectare lake located at the foot of Gemeindealpe on the border between Styria and Lower Austria, northwest of Mariazell. The bathing area is situated on the southern shore near the lake outlet. The lake is fed by the Erlauf river.

Lake. Area: approximately 58 hectares. The Erlauf river flows through the lake. The lake is situated in an area of carbonate rocks of the northern limestone Alps.

Location

Northwest of Mariazell, on the border between Styria and Lower Austria. The bathing water is located on the southern shore near the lake outlet on the Styrian side. A campsite is nearby.
