Coastal bathing water influenced by multiple river systems including the Sienne, Soulles, Canal du Passevin, Siame, and ruisseau des Vaux. The water body is subject to tidal influences and coastal discharges from the Regnéville harbour.

Water quality monitored according to Directive 2006/7/CEE. Faecal contamination indicators tracked. Shellfish production zones monitored for bacterial quality. Beach closures have occurred. Bivalve harvesting areas subject to sanitary monitoring.

Multiple pollution sources identified including collective sewerage systems, non-collective sanitation, stormwater runoff, agricultural activities (livestock, sheep grazing on harbour marshes, vegetable waste deposits), industrial and artisanal activities (slaughterhouses, shellfish farms), coastal discharges, ports and mooring zones, camping facilities, mobile home areas, fairgrounds and festivals, canine faeces on the beach, marine birds on mussel deposits, and sediment resuspension in Regnéville harbour.
