Færgehagen is a bathing beach located on the south side of Mariager Fjord just outside Mariager. The beach stretches approximately 300 metres and is 10–20 metres wide, consisting of sand and gravel. Above the beach lies a large natural area available for visitors. The bathing water quality is classified as excellent.

Water

Mariager Fjord. Water temperature varies between approximately 12 °C and 23 °C during the bathing season. Salinity is low. Current direction is determined by wind and weather conditions in the area.

Location

Situated on the south side of Mariager Fjord near Mariager, accessed via Ny Havnevej. Parking is available at the adjacent campground. Access to the beach via the campground is prohibited between 22:00 and 07:00. Alternative pedestrian access is available via paths from Rinddalen, Vejrmøllegården, and Frydensbjergvej.

Facilities

Bathing bridge, life ring, toilet at campground entrance, waste bins, and recreational area with natural surroundings.

Water Quality

Bathing water quality is classified as excellent.
