Location

Zapponeta, province of Foggia, Puglia region. The bathing water is located 30 metres to the right of the Aloisa river mouth.

Water Quality

Water quality classification: Excellent (2017-2020). No direct sewage discharges to sea. The Aloisa Canal mouth at the northern edge represents a potential point source of pollution, but no short-term contamination events have been recorded in the past four years.

Risks

The Aloisa Canal mouth at the northern boundary is identified as a potential pollution source. No cyanobacterial blooms or toxic algal proliferation has been detected. No short-term pollution events have been recorded in the past four years.
