Foce Lambro is a bathing water area located in Centola, in the Salerno province of Campania region. The beach features a rocky shoreline with pebbles and sandy coves. The area is characterized by high cliffs and a highly fragmented limestone coast near Cape Palinuro, with a cliff formation protecting the beach. The Lambro River flows into the sea at this location.

Water Quality

Water quality classification: Excellent (2020-2021-2022-2023). Monitoring conducted according to Italian Decree 30.05.08 n. 116.

Risks

Possible pollution source identified: the mouth of the Lambro River on the eastern side of the bathing area. Urban wastewater treatment plants discharge into the Lambro River and the Mingardo River.
