Location

Butera, Caltanissetta province, Sicily. The area is located at the mouth of a channel approximately 1.4 km from Punta Due Rocche. Water Quality

Water quality classification: Excellent. No information on wastewater treatment was reported by the competent authority. No anomalous events have been recorded. No cyanobacterial proliferation pressure identified. No macroalgae, phytoplankton, or potentially toxic species proliferation identified.

Risks

A section of beach approximately 135 metres long is prohibited for swimming for safety reasons due to the presence of unstable rock formations. This prohibition was issued by the Capitaneria di Porto di Gela via official ordinance, extending from coordinates latitude 37.1091 N, longitude 14.0532 E to latitude 37.1079 N, longitude 14.0527 E.
