Foce Torrente Petronio is a coastal bathing area located at the mouth of the Petronio stream in Sestri Levante, Liguria. The beach is predominantly pebbly and situated near the urban centre of Riva Trigoso. The water body is classified as excellent quality based on 2008–2011 monitoring data. The area is equipped with beach establishments, bars, restaurants, and parking facilities.

Coastal water body at the mouth of Torrente Petronio stream. Classified as mountainous region coastal waters with low stability (CWA3). Bathing area extends 0.549 square kilometres.

Location

Sestri Levante, near Riva Trigoso town centre, in the province of Genoa, Liguria. Parking is available. The area is accessible by vehicle.

Facilities

Beach establishments, bars, restaurants, parking, shops. Access to animals is permitted.

Water Quality

Water quality classification: Excellent (2008–2011). The Ligurian Sea is oligotrophic and not characterized by cyanobacterial blooms. No cases of potentially toxic algal strains have been reported in the past four years.
