Foce Varano is a sandy beach bathing area located 30 metres to the left of the river mouth in Ischitella, Puglia. The water body is classified as excellent (2017–2020). The area has no direct wastewater discharges to the sea. No short-duration pollution events have been recorded in the past four years, and no algal or cyanobacterial blooms have been detected.
