Fortino Penisola Magnisi is a sandy beach located south of the Magnisi peninsula in the Priolo area of Sicily. The beach is characterized by easy access and a shallow seafloor with a gentle slope. It experiences high attendance during the summer months, particularly among local residents. The beach is partly free and partly equipped with lido facilities.

Water

Coastal waters with sandy beach, shallow depth with gradual sloping seafloor. The bathing area is bounded by coordinates starting at 37.1527°N, 15.2291°E and ending at 37.1440°N, 15.2202°E.

Location

Priolo, Sicily, in the province of Syracuse. The beach is located between the Anapo River and San Leonardo River. Coordinates: 37.1464°N, 15.2213°E. The area extends approximately 1.572 km.

Facilities

Partly equipped with lido facilities. Information on specific facilities (lifeguards, toilets, showers, disabled access, flags) was not provided by the municipal authority.

Water Quality

Water quality classification is Excellent for the reference period 2010–2015. No bathing bans are in effect. No short-duration pollution events have been recorded. Urban and industrial wastewater is directed to the Priolo Consortium Treatment Plant managed by IAS, with treated water discharged to sea via submarine pipeline. The treatment facility is subject to routine monitoring by ARPA.
