Location

Tarquinia, province of Viterbo, Lazio region. The bathing area extends for 503 metres.

Facilities

Beach establishment (stabilimento balneare), equipped beach areas, groynes (pennelli).

Monitoring profile updated in March 2011, with planned review in 2012.

Water Quality

Water quality classification: sufficient. Monitoring indicates sufficient quality according to the 95th and 90th percentile parameters. One active urban treatment plant serves the reference municipality. Specific monitoring for pollutant concentration is not currently active during the bathing season.

Risks

Nearby ditches and fosses. Significant urbanized area extension in the vicinity. Currently no active cyanobacterial blooms are reported. The area is not subject to macroalgal or microalgal blooms potentially toxic.
