Frösakullstranden is a sandy beach over 2 km long with sand dunes in Tylöbukten. The beach offers similar quality to Tylösand but with significantly fewer visitors. Multiple pathways lead from nearby summer cottage areas across the sand dunes to the beach. The bathing area is partially supervised by lifeguards. Some seaweed may occur.

Water

Sandy beach over 2 km long with sand dunes, part of a 4 km long sandy beach in Tylöbukten. The bathing water is part of a surface water body of 159.6 km² designated as South Halland coastal waters.

Location

Located just north of Tylösand bathing area in Tylöbukten. Multiple pathways provide access from summer cottage areas.

Facilities

Partial lifeguard supervision.

Water Quality

Classified as EU bathing water by Halmstad Municipality under Directive 2006/7/EG. Water quality ratings: 2025 Excellent, 2024 Excellent, 2023 Excellent, 2022 Excellent.

Risks

Streams with stormwater outlets at or adjacent to the beach. Potential temporary pollution risk during heavy rainfall due to wastewater overflow and seepage from fertilised agricultural land upstream. Seaweed may be present.
