Garo Beach is located in the eastern part of Brignogan Bay in Plounéour-Brignogan-Plages. The beach benefits from natural protection due to its position within a bay delimited by Keravézan Point to the west and Beg ar Scaf Point to the east, which shields it from offshore waves. Currents on the beach remain moderate. Green algae wash-ups are possible depending on the year, tides, and wind direction. The beach was classified as excellent quality in 2017.
