Glenstrup Sø

Denmark Lake 1 - Excellent

Glenstrup Sø is the largest lake in North Jutland, covering 384 hectares and one of Denmark's deepest lakes with a maximum depth of 31 metres. The lake lies in a long tunnel valley formed by glacial meltwater during the ice age, stretching from near Mariager Fjord through Glenstrup Sø to Tjele Langsø in the west. The lake is part of the Skals River system. Water temperature varies between approximately 13°C and 20°C during the bathing season.
