Herta is a sandy beach approximately 500 metres long located in southeastern Gotland, about 60 kilometres southeast of Visby. The beach has relatively shallow water with a sandy bottom and is surrounded by sand dunes with some vegetation. It is registered as an EU bathing water under Directive 2006/7/EC and has achieved excellent water quality classification for the past four years.
