Höllerersee is a small lake in St. Pantaleon, Austria, covering 0.2 km² and surrounded by forested slopes on its western and eastern sides. The sheltered location causes the water to warm rapidly after winter ice breaks, creating favorable swimming conditions with high summer water temperatures. Due to the sheltered position and significant depth exceeding 20 metres, water below approximately 10 metres depth does not mix with the rest of the lake water even during circulation phases, though this rare limnological phenomenon does not affect bathing operations.
