Water Quality

Water quality classification is satisfactory. Intestinal enterococci show excellent quality with stable trend since 2012. Escherichia coli shows excellent quality with stable trend since 2012. Transparency meets the 1-meter limit with stable trend since 2012. No algal blooms have been observed. Natural pollution from pollen and seed fluff is mild. Waste pollution is negligible.

Risks

In 2015, probable cases of cercarial dermatitis were recorded. Diffuse pollution sources include wastewater discharge from settlements outside water balance (Lobzy, Vítkov, Novina, Podstrání) without pre-treatment, agricultural land use with manure storage and pastures, internal reservoir pollution from recreational activities, and waterfowl presence.
